With passion for Therapy

I believe change starts from within and that change requires: internal motivation, patience, practice, commitment, courage, support, and trust.

I'm wholeheartedly invested in the people I work with and I believe therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. Therapy can help you understand your patterns, recognize your strengths and wisdom, and learn to be more effective at reaching your goals. I specialize in individual psychotherapy and couples therapy. I work with clients who are interested in growth and positive change in all aspects of their lives. The clients I work with are invested in the therapeutic process, are open to self-exploration, hold themselves accountable for their goals, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones to challenge entrenched patterns that no longer serve them in life.

I specialize in restoring relationships. This includes relationships with others and yourself. I do this by helping you understand things that are outside of your awareness so that you may become more empowered and intentional rather than limited and reactive toward yourself and others. The clients I collaborate with are interested in engaging in emotionally deep, and insight oriented psychotherapy with the goal of understanding, and changing, unhelpful relating styles. Sometimes the source of the hurt is clearly known, other times it's waiting to be discovered. Either way, something needs to be addressed in order to fully thrive, and my clients are willing to do the work to address it. I also work with people who are already feeling pretty balanced, and who are set on keeping it that way through regular and honest reflection.

I work collaboratively with you to assist you in becoming your best self. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach to blend techniques to facilitate the therapeutic process and to create customized plans for growth, healing, and coping for all my clients. My approach enables you to gain greater self-awareness and help you recognize your own strength.

My style of therapy is marked by humor, frankness, and empathy. With a mixture of support, I challenge my clients and offer creative interventions to aid them in their goals. My work is a blend of: process, psychoeducation, skills, and exercises for you to work on outside of our sessions. Together, we will deeply explore what's happening for you so that you may experience change that lasts. I help my clients to identify unhelpful patterns that may be making their lives more difficult and we work to find realistic solutions aimed at improving quality of life. Change does not come from insight alone, you must also be actively engaged in the process of change to bring about different results. You will utilize skills learned in session in your everyday life to assist you in obtaining your goals.

Dedicated to Continued Learning To Better Serve You

In addition to obtaining yearly continuing education on areas relating to relationships, I also continually stay informed on areas of neuroscience, attachment, systems, and narrative therapy. Maintaining and deepening my knowledge of effective therapeutic approaches allows me to provide quality clinical interventions. I have been an active participant in a monthly multi-disciplinary training community since March of 2017. Every month the community discusses an important topic within the realm of couples therapy with discussions lead by leading experts in the field. Being involved in this community on a monthly basis provides me with a deeper level of training focused on couples. It provides me with the opportunity to become a more creative therapist. The experience has offered a fresh approach to couples therapy by focusing on multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural perspectives with special attention to sexuality. This training integrates psychodynamic, attachment, and systemic theories as well as sex therapy, psychodrama, neuroscience, and body-oriented approaches.
